Hey all. Dan here. I live in the middle of Michigan where our cars are like distressed jeans in a matter of a few years. I'm usually a B/D-body, LT1 guy, but good ones of those for what I'm willing to pay are hard to come by. Had a '96 Fleetwood for 9 years and wish we'd have just put some cash into it instead of selling at 265k. Still my wife and kids' (three) favorite car. Picked up a '95 Roadmaster Sedan (still hoping, one day, to find a good wagon). It's not the right one, so we picked up an '03 LeSabre and an '01 Bonneville over the past few months. We went from one car our entire married life (16 years) to three in a year. Hoping to get the two 3.8s fixed and sell the Roadmaster. Wife and kids are hesitant, and every time I drive it I am too.

The LeSabre is in great shape for it's age and 120k miles. It's not perfect, but good enough for a cheap family car. No rust as it didn't come from Michigan. The Bonneville has 180k and a few more issues, but nothing I can't deal with in one way or another.

Deep down, I'd like to have a Roadmaster Wagon or Park Avenue Ultra as our main family car. I'd really like at least 6 seats as we often tote another family member or friend with us. For a second car, any decent 3.8L, a Vibe, or any other reliable, cheap car is perfect.

Beyond that, I don't mind wrenching myself. Well, except in Winter. But my kids aren't as interested, so most items will go to the shop. I could go on about a Camaro my oldest bought at 12, or the other handful of cars I've owned, but I'll not bore y'all.
