2003 Door Actuator Blender Door
I had SO much bad luck with actuators.
My case, NO HEAT on passenger side, only Drivers Side.
It was a FAULTY NEW Actuator. They are all made in China, Delco, etc.
Finally here are the results.
I bought part number: BVL-1860 Manufactured by Bevel Engineering
Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MKS4K9T?ps ... ct_details
Disconnect your battery completely.
Make sure the actuator you buy is set to the MIDDLE of the range.
Install, bolt up along the HVAC box
Keep your glove box removed so you can feel the actuator and see it move into positions after you install and start car.
Reconnect the battery positive and negative ( you lose your stored memories in the car )
Start up car.
Turn on HVAC in the case I have Auto Temp Climate Control, not manual
Change temp modes on the passenger side.
You will see it moving from left to right, vice versus.
You have now calibrated the actuator and system.
I could not afford $100 for Delco (it's made in China anyway)

Take out the bottom panel under the glove box and glove box out. Lay down rest your hip on the door sill, reach up. It's easier than many cars.

So mine has heat on the passenger side, not on the drivers side. Both sides are set to max heat.

Simply replace the driver temp actuator and do a calibration. 10 minute fix.camopaint0707 wrote:So mine has heat on the passenger side, not on the drivers side. Both sides are set to max heat.

Are you sure? Cause I have the drivers side totally removed and it doesn't matter the position, still cold.harofreak00 wrote:Simply replace the driver temp actuator and do a calibration. 10 minute fix.camopaint0707 wrote:So mine has heat on the passenger side, not on the drivers side. Re: 2003 Door Actuator Blender Door
Are you sure you did the temp actuator (S) and not the mode actuator (GY)?
If you are manually moving the blend door and the temp isn't changing you either have a plugged heater core or a broken door (never seen it).

Re: 2003 Door Actuator Blender Door
Explain the mode vs temp actuator? On the drivers side I can see the actuator that controls where the air goes (defrost, hands, or feet). and the other one is the one I have removed. Heater core isn't plugged. I flushed it and the passenger side blows hot as *fook* air. The climate control is set to heat on both sides.

Re: 2003 Door Actuator Blender Door
Sounds like you have the correct actuator removed. When you move the door by hand does it turn a full 90°? Does it feel floppy or stiff? Heater cores can be partially plugged and be hot on one side and not the other...but to me it sounds like you have a problem with the actual door.

Re: 2003 Door Actuator Blender Door
Thats a brilliant diagram. *dang*. but I definitely have the right blend door taken out. It feels like it moves completely. I can double check it tonight.
