I have a stock SSEi '01
96k miles
I'm not very mechanically inclined, but looking to beef it up a little
1. Can i just add an intake system? Or do i need to modify other parts to avoid damage or issues?
2. suggestions on an intake
Thanks

Yes, just adding an intake won't hurt anything. Usually you need to add complementary mods if you run smaller supercharger pulleys.jddem wrote:I have a stock SSEi '01

There aren't a whole lot of intakes available for the Bonneville and they're all fender-well intakes, so depending on where you live you may want to wait until spring/summer to install it.
(You CAN add a cheap one in the engine bay but then you're pulling in hot air which defeats the whole point.)
JMB Performance (do a search) makes a quality looking one, and there's one available from Intense Racing as well.
If anyone else has any other suggestions, feel free!
