If you haven't read my introduction, it might help give context on this interesting 1984 Pontiac Bonneville.
Sadly? I got ripped off buying her, she was rusty when it was advertised as not (have to get , and the seller later admitted the fuel sender unit had problems, only after I asked, because the fuel gauge read F, and from previous experience with my Delta 88, I had a feeling the float was not stuck, but the unit was fried.
So I was very lucky, to not trust it and fill the tank anyway. Some other young person around my age, who has never owned a car this old would have likely ran out of gas on the 401. Power steering return line started leaking too, but I don't think the seller knew about that, because it only started about a week after she was brought home.
That said, there is some notable positives.
Its exterior is in decent shape for an Ontario car.
305 V8 and 3 Speed trans, at @154,000KM.
Weather stripping doesn't leak.
Alpine CD Player & Subwoofer hook ups. (Swapped for tape hehe)
Corvette Rallies too
She needs new floor pans, trans dust cover/inspection plate, fuel sender unit and emergency brake to have the certification successfully completed.
If anyone is in Ontario or even Canada in general, and have any of these parts so I don't have to have stuff shipped from the US? Please let me know
Let me know your feelings and thoughts about the vehicle! Cheers.
