Heat/AC
Last summer the ac would only blow out the passenger side vents, drivers side was warm, This past summer neither side blew cold but system would not take any charge and compressor sounds like it should with clutch engaged. Now the heat is lukewarm, even out of the vents. Is this a door motor problem under the dash?

It sounds like a blend door actuator. I have 2 vehicles in my yard now needing that part. An 05 Escalade, when the blend door actuator on it messes up. Cold AC stops and hot air comes out.
99 Town Car, its just making air only blow out of certain vents.
Do you have access to a good scanner tool? Like a snap on scanner? Those will pull body codes and it should have a code for blend door actuator if that's the problem.
Try this if you have the automatic controls.
For auto systems, press the auto button, with the key on.
Turn the ignition off.
Remove the HVAC/ECAS , 10 amp fuse in the underhood fuse box* or disconnect the battery for one minute.
Install the HVAC fuse or reconnect the battery.
Start the engine. On systems with auto a/c controls the controls will default to 74 degrees F when the ignition is turned back on.
DO NOT TOUCH the a/c controls.
Let the engine run for 1-2 minutes.
Turn the ignition off for at least 10 seconds but no more than 30 seconds.
Restart the engine and then test the a/c controls.
This worked for my Escalade for a few days. It will at least let you know that its your blend door motor/actuator.
Unless the actuator/motor is just that far gone the procedure above may do nothing at all.
The scanner is your best bet.
