So, it seems to be about time to take a look at the front valve cover gasket (as a couple of times over the last few days, after driving home, I smelled a candle-like smell, and saw smoke/steam coming from a spot on the exhaust manifold). Does anyone know a good place to get a replacement gasket that doesn't seem too cheap?
Thanks.

you may want to shop around your area and compare price/quality: Felpro is a reputable brand.

I used Felpro on mine.
No problems.
Also replace the grommets while you are at it.

I used Felpro as well, as said above, make sure you get the grommets too.
Front cover is a 15 minute replacement.

Re: Front Valve Cover Gaskets?
May want to do both while you're at it. If the front one is leaking, the rear probably is too. The front gasket is easy and will take less than a half hour. The rear gasket is another story. Took me about and hour.
Felpro is good. When I did the back one I had to use a few dabs if RTV to hold the gasket in place while I put the cover on, otherwise it falls off the cover.
Not sure why the NA and SC engines use different gaskets.
