2000 SE rear shock air lines
I recently noticed that one of my air lines is broken on my 2000 SE. has anyone replaced these lines before? If so where can I find them?

Re: 2000 SE rear shock air lines
I had a line break on my 2005SLE.
I used the following:
Monroe AK29 line kit from Amazon $10.94
SMC KQ2H01-00A connector from Amazon $3.99.
Instead of replacing the whole line I just cut it off and spliced in a new piece with a connector.
It worked great with no problems.

You can use a brass compression fitting for 1/8" line if the existing line is cut. A local hardware store should have a splice fitting.
No need to buy the Monroe kit.

What the Monroe kit does is give you the correct fitting to snap on to the shock.
In my case it was cut right where it goes onto the shock and I did not have enough line to make a splice.
That is why I bought the kit.

Re: 2000 SE rear shock air lines
So I just need to put both ends of the line into that connector and close it and it's good to go?

Where is the line broke?
Mine was broke right by the connector that goes on the shock.
I used the kit for the new air line with the connector on it.
I then cut the line off and spliced it with the 1/8" X 1/8" fitting.
Everything worked great.

yes, that is the basic process, but, you should follow the instructions in the kit since you're Nancy...lol(inexperienced).Merrillspontiac wrote:So I just need to put both ends of the line into that connector and close it and it's good to go?

It broke about 6 inches from where it goes on to the shock.

Re: 2000 SE rear shock air lines
then its perfect - clamp union on the line on one end and your new line on the other end or you can use the existing line that goes to pumpMerrillspontiac wrote:It broke about 6 inches from where it goes on to the shock.
