2000 SE Rear Speakers

How do I remove the rear speakers to replace them with new ones, do they come out through the trunk? Also what size are the factory speakers? Thanks

They come out the top, so the rear dash piece needs to come out. In order to get that out, you need to remove the C-pillar trims and also the back of the rear seat. It's no small task just for a speaker change. They are 6x9's.

To be honest, I've been able to swap mine just by unclipping the rear seat backing, pulling back on it, and lifting up that carpet/rear tray. Haven't ever touched the C-pillar trims.

6X9 is the size to get.

I have since removed my 6X9s but I used to have some Pioneer 5 way speakers back there I got from Sonicelectronix.
