blend door?

Post by jcweis1 »

Sorry... tried to find a post but no luck on this one.

2000 Bonneville with manual AC /Heat controls. Cold air only blowing out of front dash panel on the two right side vents. The two drivers side vents do not blow cold.

I believe it is a blend door but which one is it and how do I locate it? Will this be a hard fix?

Thanks for any help I can get with what the problem is and how to fix.

Sorry thought should clarify a little more.

The drivers side left two vents blow air but just not cold air like the right two do.

thanks again

pass side colder than drivers may be a sign of low system charge - check that first.

It would be a blend door problem if all the vents blew only cold air.

I did just add a can of refrigerant, old cheapo gauge read in the green zone afterwards.

accuracy is questionable so go by weight - 1 can should be equal to 1 pound and we need 2-2.5 lbs so maybe add another can and watch the pressure.
