building up my 3800 for more power
so yesterday i went to a friends shop and we talked about what i wanted to do to my 95 bonneville, engine wise. we talked about putting a northstar in it but eventually decided on building up the 3800 instead. we figured that it would be cheaper and easier to build up the 3800 instead of trying to make a northstar v8 fit. so first thing we are going to do is get a rebuild kit and arp head studs for it so its ready to make more power/take boost. we are also looking into putting the series 3 aluminum intake on it to replace the plastic one. i dont think its to hard to put a series 3 aluminum intake on it but ill have to do some more research about it. it is a 1995 so i am thinking i will ether have to see if i can get a obd2 pcm from a 1996 bonneville to work or get an after market ecu and tcm.

Your 4t60-e trans wont take the power.
Get a L67 drop out with pcm and 4t65-hd trans.

A built 60e won’t last. Start with a 65-hd.

+1 on an entire series 2 L67 motor/trans/pcm dropout. Make sure you plan your build accordingly, and build the trans for your hp goal.

If you're going to keep the car NA, you won't be making all that much power without valve train mods... and even then....
The L26 intake swap isn't really worth it. It offers no performance benefits.
