I had before 1990 lesabre and it was like flying carpet on speed bumbs etc. Very soft and smooth.
Pontiac is stiffer, i think its mean to be like that. Now i have 1990 bonneville.
Okay its simple: just switch buicks shock+springs.
Only problem is high shipping costs.
So which is better investment, springs or shock?
Because i think that stiffer spring will limit smoothes harder than shock?
Softer ride for bonneville?

YES, the springs will give you a softer ride - the shock will prevent the car from bouncing on the spring.
you can look here if you are cheap like me....http://www.diseno-art.com/encyclopedia/ ... lamps.html
if you use them correctly, they might work but, softer springs are your best bet. maybe you get lucky in scrap yard near you

Heh...
Buick and Pontiac shared couple same shocks but not springs.
Those cars are rare in here, so used parts are no go.

Some Bonnevilles had the F41 suspension( Firm Ride and Handling )

My bonneville is SE. I think SSEI is stiffest?Jrs3800 wrote:Some Bonnevilles had the F41 suspension( Firm Ride and Handling )
When i ordered stabilizer bar bushings, i regonized that there was many different sizes of bushings, 28mm 30mm 31mm 32mm and 34mm. I had 32mm.
I think that thicker stabilizer bar is stiffer ride?
