L36 to L67 swap on a 1995 Bonneville?

L36 to L67 swap on a 1995 Bonneville?

Hey guys I am thinking i may one day swap out my L36 for a L67 that i can turbo. my question is sense the L67 i would want to get is of 1996 or newer, how many of the computers would i have to swap to be able to get it to work properly and be able to tune the ecu to run a turbo?

If you're going to turbo it, you should go with a 97-99 H body L67/4t65-hd/pcm then tune.

what issues would i run into going to the new 97+ pcm? would all the warning lights and gauges on the dash still work? is the pcm the only thing i would have to change?

You'll need both FSMs in-order to wire the OBD2 PCM into your OBD1.5 car. It's not a plug and play situation.

IIRC you'll get some minor incompatibilities like the PRNDL lights not lighting up and some other minor stuff.
