Got a pry bar you can get back in there?

I think one of mine, I grabbed it by the inner boot real hard, braced with my feet and pulled with all I had. It popped out eventually.

I had a long and relatively large flat head screw driver, almost a pry bar to be honest, which got it out for me. This was the passenger side, but same deal I believe, just opposite side.

This goes much easier with two pry bars behind the inner CV joint. Allows the clip on the axle to compress evenly so that it pops out.
