Fuel Pump Lock Ring
Fuel Pump Lock Ring
Today I've been trying to get my fuel pump out so I can fix my gas gauge. My lock ring is pretty rusty and will not come free. Any suggestions? A lock ring tool that anyone knows works for our cars?

Pb blaster + a big flat head screw driver and a hammer. Unsure of any special tools.

I was concerned about using any penetrating oil like that around the gas tank. It won't pose a problem?

I ued a 24 inch pry bar so I could stand outside and get a good swing
