"Can" tune question

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

"Can" tune question

Post by Kersh »

I’ve heard a lot of very good things about Overkill Motorsports and their 3800 tune.

Based on these accounts and testimonials, I had decided to go with their tune as well.

UNTIL…

I have been trying for over 2 months to get even an initial response from them.

I e-mailed from my Roadrunner account in February. After a week with no response, I e-mailed again.

No response.

I decided to try a 3rd time in March, this time from my Gmail account (just in case there was an issue with my Roadrunner account).

No response.

Finally, a few days ago, I decided to try contact through Facebook/instant messenger (which was noted with “Usually responds with-in a few hours”).

No response.

That was two days ago.

I can understand if he can’t do what I was requesting (nothing odd, mind you) or he’s busy and taking a while to respond…but 2+ months????

Let’s just say the impression I have of Overkill has gone WAY down…

At this point, I think that’s a pretty good sign I should NOT be going with their tune.

>>>Anyone have any suggestions of comparable tune/results from anyone who actually RESPONDS to e-mail/contact requests?

Man That's no way to run a business, Just imagine if you had their product and needed
some questions answered, I used a Diablo tune in my Sierra with great results, if that helps you any,
I think I bought it from Summit Racing or Jeggs. Not sure what you are looking for. You might be looking
for a more tailored tune, Hope that is useful to you, Good Luck.

I started with a ZZP tune, it was fine, and then had a custom tune done for my Gen V Swap. Ran much better when tuned for my specific car at my 5000+ Elevation. the mail order tune is good for a couple basic upgrades but custom is not too expensive and you can get it perfect for your car. I payed $350 for my custom tune at a very reputable GM/Corvette Tuning shop.
