Air filter choice
I was going to go with a cone filter from kn.Will putting a stock looking kn in the factory air box improve performance and good sound under wot?

A small amount for each, really. Under anything but WOT, the engine having a throttle negates most possibility of better performance. It's all about total restriction to make certain power. Say you need 10 hp to maintain 40 mph, you just won't have to hold the throttle open quite as much and total restriction will be the same. But at WOT, total restriction will be decreased. There is something to be said about needing less throttle, so fuel maps stay in more economical ranges more, in theory.
