Shifting into fourth gear late?

Post by 78ls1transam »

2000 ssei does not shift into fourth until over 45 mph. shifts smooth otherwise. new valve body put in at about 90,000 has 118 now. Stability, trac off, abs off, tire pressure warning lights all on but I doubt that's related.

This sounds like normal behavior. I believe this number is actually 48mph, but they may have reduced it some in later years.

I just bought it so I wasn't sure if that was normal but cruising around at 40 the rpm is kind of high and feels like it should shift when holding steady .
