Hello everyone

Post by Moneyball »

I am from central oregon. I just purchased a 1968 pontiac bonneville 2 door hardtop from a friend of mine. He has had the car for about 20 years and it was sitting another 10 or so years on the property where he got it. He stored this car with a number of other ones on our property when i was a kid and has always told me i could have it for $1000. So i took him up on that offer and bought it the other day. Its straight, all original. 53000 original miles. Has 400 with auto tranny. Only damage is the 30 years of high dessert sun baked in. Its got the rusty petina. But no rust anywhere else. Tops of seats, steering wheel, headliner and rear speaker area are burnt lol. Dash is ok. Other than that its excellent condition. Ive put new points wires and plugs in it. And runs and drives good. Need to go over all vacuum lines and rubber hoses. And im sure carburetor needs cleaning or rebuilt. Ive always had import sports cars so this is a bit of a change. 3 kids will do that. Anyway, so far im very happy with it. Want to get more out of engine to compensate for 4000 lb weight.
