2000 lesabre limited how to shut ac off and how to chg rear

Ok I know there was a way to shut the ac compressor off,,,like hitting 2 buttons on the climate controls at the same time ????

Also I put new front strut on and now the front is higher than the rear,,,how do I have the rear shocks pump up higher ??

I found out by accident that to turn the A/C compressor off you just press the A/C button. Press it once and the A/C comes on, press it again and "A/C OFF" will appear in the display. As far as activating the leveling system, it's supposed to be automatic. Check fuses. When you first turn the key on, I think the air compressor always turns on for a couple of seconds just to buind up a little pressure. If it's not doing that, you must have a bad fuse or relay. I would never replace just one strut. That may be causing the leveling system some confusion! The leveling arm that tells the system when the car needs leveling is on the drivers rear. If you jack up that corner and take the wheel off you'll see the arm that lets the system know then to raise/lower the rear end. With the key on, I have disconnected the ball joint on that arm and moved it up and down to activate the compressor. You have to hold it for a minute or so, to make it activate. Otherwise it would constantly turn on and off when you go over bumps.

That's a common complaint with new all in one struts ( the ones that include the coil spring).
The height is raised. It has been said that the height goes back to normal after a few months.

As for the rear air shocks, you can't make them stay at a higher height unless you put a heavy load in the trunk so the rear end sinks about an inch and then have a helper pull the fuse for the rear air compressor.

I figured out the ac...just press "vent" it shuts off thecompressor...there is NO ac button on the limited climate control...I wonder if the ac still comes on at 30 degs out???

I think the compressor will NOT come on below 50 degrees but hitting the vent button is the sure way to keep it off. BTW I own a 2001 Limited so I know of what I speak.
