Rear Door Speakers

Post by samples08 »

Okay as you all know i have a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SE, well today i went to my local lkq because they have a 03 SSEi and it has the Dark Pewter Interior that i really wanted so i grabbed everything except the console because it has a heads up display and my car does not so ill just have to wait on that but anywho here goes, we all know that the rear doors on the SE do not have speakers although they appear to have holes in the splash shields for them. So my question is what all would i need to get functionality from my new rear door speakers. I did grab the door panel harness that goes to the speaker and i have checked my current connection is missing the two additional wires for the speakers.

Honestly they will make no difference at all for your sound especially if your others are upgraded already. However the easiest way to make them work would be an external amp, not sire if you can wire into an SE stereo.

The rear door speakers do not do a lot. I have the 8 speaker system and when I replaced the amp, I put triaxials on the rear deck and left the rear door speakers disconnected. You don't have an amp but getting better speakers for the rear deck will make a big difference.
