Help?

Post by hi3150 »

Alright guys I'm in a bit of a predicament. I have this problem with my car running rough. When I first started the car like a cold start up the motor shakes and sputters and runs really really rough. After the car warms up I unplug the MAF and MAF sensor and the rpms raise up and I plug the sensors in and the motor will start to run alot smoother, close to normal. And when the car is warm and I start it up it surges like crazy and will stall out if I don't help the car stay running, after a couple of minutes the car will stop surging and idle fine. I'm getting multiple codes, low input for the MAF AND MAF. And some others. I have no idea what the problem is and tried many things to fix this. Getting a 10v input for the MAF with the key turned on but haven't checked it while running. I don't think the sensor is bad but not sure?? What else could it be? Sorry for the long post but I desperately need help. Thank you all for your input.

know the spark plugs are good I checked them, I the plugs maybe bad not 100%. But what's funny is I can get the car to run perfectly fine sometimes and other times (most of the time) it'll run very bad or funky. Not saying your wrong and I will definitely check up on the tune up but this seems to be more than just a tune up problem. Bad sensor? Bad wiring? Stuck open egr? Some type of vacuum leak, don't really hear anything though

It's really just throwing out the basics just to be on the safe side mine did the same thing and it end up being a bad coil so I upgraded to the supercharged coils and ICM (picked it up from local jy) cleared the problem right up for me.

Ok all of codes here. P0102 (MAF circuit low), p0107 (map low input), p0135 (02 sensor malfunction), p0300 (random misfire), p0403 (flow circuit malfunction), p0405, p0446 (evap emissions malfunction), and p1404? And I will definitely check into getting a new icm and coil packs thanks for the info!!

Search local jy's try to stay oem heard on the forums alot of guys have problems with after market ICM's. Mine actually came off a grand Prix just had to swap the mounting brackets and used the Bonneville's coil screws.

Whoaaaahhh, don't jump right into buying coils and an ICM. One of the codes you got points in the general direction of those parts but that doesn't mean your car has the exact same problem his did.

I'm not picking on samples08 I'm saying don't throw parts at problems.
