Speakers w/ bose audio...

This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Speakers w/ bose audio...

Post by Raviaan »

I am not looking to get into a full blown subs in the trunk system. I am pretty happy with the way my stock system is... I just want a LIL better sound... lil lower bass, and a little more range. What speaker can I use with the bose system? Obviously I have read anything over 2ohms won't really work well... any suggestions?

What year is your car? You could get a decent set of 6x9s for the rear deck and amp them up. Just need an amp with line level inputs or a line level convertor plus an amp. This way you can just come off of the original speaker wires into the amp/line level convertor, then off the amp to the new speakers. If you were to do this and you have a 2000+ you wouldnt need to tear apart the entire interior to run a power wire since you have the battery under the rear seat. That is what I did.
