Sadly, no coolant level sensors for the 3800 powered Bonnes. My replacement radiator had a spot for it however, which I had to plug.

Oh ok, well that makes it easy. To be honest, I was just assuming it did have one, since it was an Ei. It has every other sensor known to man. Great thanks for the info, I feel kinda dumb now

Just a quick update.. The SLE did a 4000 mile stint, from Florida to West Virginia.. Then to Kentucky and Michagan and Back.. The hottest it got going up 5 and 6% grades was 191F.. This was running between 3000 and 4500 Rpms.. With the trans adding to the heat stress I'd say the car did quite well.. It was a far cry from the 220's I saw last year.. most of the time it stayed right at 180-181f.. Happy camper here..lol

straight up I found that no, the fan connectors aren't the same, but I also found a benefit to swapping the fans out for the lucernes too. they're bigger in diameter, & have a high speed motor with more aggressive fan blades attached. I got super lucky on a recent junk yard trip; they had only 2 lucernes & 1 Bonneville ( & the Bonneville was a base model in worse shape than mine so nothing good to get). the 2 lucernes were N* powered, one was in a front end wreck, but it had a rear sway bar in great shape so i grabbed it. the other apparently died of head issues (front spark plugs were missing and that was all that was missing LMAO) but a quick clip of the wires and a hop onto rockauto revealed that the V6 w/ tow package & the N*'s used the same fan assembly & connectors on the radiator fans, so hopefully this could be better than the 3.5 setup, especially with the larger trans cooler in it too, & straight up, IDK about the rest of you, but a month or two ago i heard about the 3.5 water pump pulleys were a drop in 15% overdrive for us 3800 kids. unfortunately I couldn't find one, period. junk yards included. so i called smoothflow & they hooked me up with a 20% overdrive for 50 bucks. I'll look into it for the hell of it but those short star motors seem impossible to find nowadays & god knows we don't want no 60° v6 trash mangled to fit even if it did work.
