Crazy Brake Idea
I know this may sound crazy but I have an idea about deleting my ABS. I wonder if anyone has done this. I really don't want to replace the ABS valve on my car. Was thinking about just removing lines from control valve and t-ing them off to front rear lines etc. I also heard this can increase mph if they are dragging due to cpu. My main question is if anyone has schematics on brake system and fitting size. Thanks.

Re: Crazy Brake Idea
Why do you want to do this, is your ABS not working? If it is not working the braking system functions like a non-ABS. I do not know what the advantage is to delete, I think from a safety perspective you may have bigger problems trying to delete and re-plumb the lines. Also if you have traction control I believe you will lose that as well as it works with ABS. I vote to fix it right.

Re: Crazy Brake Idea
The only time there was ever really talk of converting ABS to standard brakes was with the old Teeves system (88-90), because it was prohibitively expensive to replace, and non ABS parts outnumber the ABS parts. Even then it took a bit of work.
In your situation, I would recommend against it. Standard systems are channeled diagonally for safety, so teeing the lines front and back sounds like a bad idea.
Contacting Harofreak00 would likely be the best route, because he will likely have the parts to fix it right. What issue are you having that would drive you to get rid of it?

Re: Crazy Brake Idea
Definitely a horrible idea in every way possible to think of it, absolutely zero benefit in any way. The time and money it would take to redo all the lines with new fittings etc. would easily out weigh the cost of just fixing it right. I believe you can replace just the solenoid valve portion and be all set just about every time. I don't believe those are that expensive used either which is the route I would go. I say just fix it right and be done with it.

Much easier and safer to fix it the right way.
