Awesome Mike. I've been getting little niggles fixed on the G8 too, it's nice to get in it and not have to think about the things that it needs....

Re: Some pics of my 95 SLE (5/8 Update)
I made some marginal progress today after a small set back.
I had panned on finishing the ICM wire tuck today at my buddy's shop along with an a/c recharge - giving me more incentive to rack up the miles on the car.
On the way over my electric waterpump wires sagged into the crank pulley and cut/melted them. I saw the temp approaching 240 so I cut the wheel and pulled into a parking lot and keyed off. With it in accessory I couldn't hear my pump over the fans. So I tried jumping the relay with the key off and that's how I found the issue. I wired it up but it still wouldn't come on. w.t.f... It turns out the pin in the connector broke too. So I jumped that and I was on my way to my buddy's shop.
With that chunk of time lost I was only able to do a proper repair to the EWP wiring, charge my a/c, and reconnect the HVAC vac source. The good news is I got stuck in heavy heavy traffic for about an hour or so total and the car had zero issues keeping cool. That huge rad and oil cooler setup are keeping the 10.5:1 CR in check. My rad hoses ended up collapsing on cool down so I picked up another rad cap.
On the plus side, another couple problems from driving got fixed/repaired, the car did well in the heat, and my a/c blows cold.
I cleaned all the water spots in the engine bay and snapped a couple pics:

Re: Some pics of my 95 SLE (5/29 Update)
Thanks all for the COTM nomination and votes!
I'm a little closer to finishing the engine wire tuck. The ICM harness was rerouted and shortened to plug into the new location. I also loomed it how I plan to loom the rest of the engine harness. I made 3 new spark plug wires for the rear bank (MSD kit), so all that's left is the front bank. Once those are done, I'll loom the whole engine harness the same as the ICM harness and have the bracket I made powdercoated.

Thanks Rachel.
Not much of an update but I made all the new spark plug wires, figured out a safe way to route the front bank, and I dropped the ICM bracket off at the powdercoater.

Re: Some pics of my 95 SLE (6/7 Update)
I put some time in yesterday and today looming the engine harness. I did most of it on car so that the fit would be spot on. I had to order some more 1/4" loom and some shrink tubing in order to finish. With the exception of a few 1/4" leads, all the loom is cut and on the harness. Most of the junctions still need to be shrink tubed though.
I finally got tired of messing with small paperclips to unpin harnesses and ordered this terminal kit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WQQHA2

Re: Some pics of my 95 SLE (6/7 Update)
It took way too long but the engine harness is finally loomed. I've been wanting to loom the engine harness this way for probably 7 years or more. Feels good to get it done. It's a shame that only about 10% of it is visible but what else is new..

The ICM bracket is back from the powdercoater, also not visible unless your underneath the car.

I hope to have it running again either early next week or next weekend.

That thing should be on display at Autorama or something, you could eat off that engine bay.

Thanks for all the comments. Its always a good feeling when you put years of work into something and other people appreciate it.
I feel like if the world came crashing down on me.. this would be the last thing to go. There's so much time, thought, and emotional attachment wrapped up into this car, it's truly priceless to me.

Re: Some pics of my 95 SLE (7/28 Update)
Finished up a cheap DIY short throw shifter today.
Researching I could a few different off the shelf options that might work
http://www.short-shifters.com/z-shift-s ... r-kit.html <--Expensive and had concerns about hitting exhaust
http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/p/1 ... r-Mod.aspx <-- could potentially work but irreversible
^^ Found another similar to the ZZP option that involved cutting off the bottom of the shifter.
Instead I ordered:
1 - Stainless 10mm ball RV Trailer Hood Strut mount with a 1" shank ~ $7.50 shipped
1 - 5/16-18 tap ~ $6 shipped
25 - Stainless lock nuts (smallest pack) ~ $5 shipped
So, a $18.50 STS that could have been cheaper without using stainless bits and if I didn't have crappy taps.
How it works - relocates the fwd/aft cables attachment pivot point lower to shorten the distance traveled at the top.
When adapting the shifter body to fit in my car I had to chop off the reverse lock out. This left the lock out pin below the cable attachment unused. I grinded off the short end of the pin and punched it through.

Then tapped it. The hole is a little large to get a good tap but the lock nut takes care of that.

Clearanced the shifter body so the lowered cable end had more room.

Thats it.
Feels/works great. It feels more like the STS I have in my i30. No more rowing. The other cool part - I can go back to 'stock' in minutes.

Nice, does your shifter still have the lever on the shaft where you have to pull it up to shift into reverse? After rowing the Camaro T5 the G6 shifter already feels really short to me. But my setup is a little different, I'm using a 1/4-28 heim style ball joint for the fore/aft cable. It's also possible I have it on the lockout pin hole already and just can't remember what I did.
