Tires, How Big?
Tires, How Big?
Being new to this model, my 2001 Bonneville SSEi has 235x55x17 tires on it. They appear to be the standard size. How big a 17" tires can I put on it? When the time comes anyway.

wide, 245- 255 -265? no real interest in going below the 55 aspect ratio

You have to drop the aspect ratio as you go wider or the tire diameter increases. We have one or two members that run 255s on the stock 17" wheels, I can't recall the aspect ratio used though.
