I have a Bonneville 1995 SSEI and an currently in the middle of an engine swap. I am putting in an l67 and was about to put it in when I found a part I think goes to the new engine, but have absolutely no idea where it goes.
Is that the one that goes between the throttle/cruise cables and the exhaust crossover pipe?

That shield goes on the drivers side over the crossover near the rear drivers side,J Wicoff nailed it.One of the bolts goes between the throttle body and intake.
thanks for the help that the last thing before the engine goes in the car, cant wait to hear the super charger.
hay dose anyone know where i can get the sub frame bolts mine are rusted bad and i need new ones.
thanks in advanced.
The problem is usually not limited to the subframe bolts themselves---typically, the road salts used in wintertime work their way between the bushings and the subframe, and rot out the mounting holes. The rest of the subframe will look just fine.
You will only see the damage if you remove the bushings and look.
On my car the front 2 bushings' holes were fine---while the 4 rear bushing holes rotted out badly.
You don't want to be driving along when you discover the problem!
They are supposed to be form fitted to the shape of the bushing and not round.
This is a huge problem in states where the roads are salted---which includes Mass.
thanks man. including the part number and everything. yhea I have to replace the back bushings and all the back bolts were rusted to halve diameter. but the front ones were fine. thanks for the link as well.
