rear suspension parts
I have seen a few posts involving the rear lateral links and was wondering how easy these are to change. The cheapest I have seen for these is http://www.amazon.com/Mevotech-MS501063 ... B005JCLGK2 would these be the best ? Other members recommended the mevotech brand so Im assuming its a good part.

Re: rear suspension parts
If you're looking for the cheapest you won't find the best. Look for Moog or other well known brands, often you get what you pay for. That part you listed would probably be fine for six months or a year but likely need replacement after that again.
The rear subframe must me lowered a little to get the bolts out.

Re: rear suspension parts
I always make sure to ask about off brand parts because some things are better offbrand (bearings timkin) and some things require acdelco. Ill look into the moog as members rate them pretty well. As far as lowering the frame a bit are the bolts the same style bolts used on the front subframe?

Re: rear suspension parts
x2 for getting the Moog's if you want good ones.
Bolts are similar to how the front work.

Re: rear suspension parts
The last Moog set I installed were far superior to the stock ones. Not only do they have a grease zerk fitting, the actual bar is a solid tube instead of the flimsy U-channel bar.

Re: rear suspension parts
Oh very nice. I wish I had a lift that would be so useful...anyway. one more question. Do I have to undo the whole subframe or can I just undo the rear part and let it hang?

Re: rear suspension parts
Just the rear part. After you take out the two bolts, the rear part of the subframe will hang by itself a few inches down. When you need to put it back up, just lower the car into a jackstand to push it back up.

Re: rear suspension parts
Haro, i hope you read this. The part number for those bars comes up with the normal non-greasable u-channel bar. You wouldnt happen to have a different part number would you? Rock auto only has the moogs that are u shaped.

Re: rear suspension parts
That part number is what I had ordered and I expected the normal u-shaped. When the solid beefy ones arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe RockAuto haven't updated their product pics?
