Just bought this 99 Grand Prix for 5k. Probably a little pricey but I really liked it so just wondering what your thoughts are. Keep in mind its a 2 door.

Beautiful car and it sounds well taken care of!! I LOVE that spoiler but not to keen on the taillights. Huge fan of black so I think you've got a sweet ride there. :beerchug:

He said it needs the coupler changed out so he took off the belt to prevent any damage. I felt it with my hand and spun it to feel for any play. It seemed fine. I drove my bonnie for year with the rattle until I replaced the coupler but guess he was scared the bearing will fail. Going to put a belt on to see how it sounds.

it is a very nice looking car but I still agree that 5000 is a little bit too much for that kind of carthat being said with only 90,000 miles it should last you many many years Congrats

With those miles on the lot I work at I would have sold that car for $5000 all day every day... Very clean, cool looking car.

Really nice looking car, but I also am not a big fan of the tail lights.

In any case, buying without the SC belt hooked up was a leap of faith I'd not have made without a SERIOUS dent in the asking price.
Just like "AC needs a charge" is commonly bogus and translates to "Needs a compressor, a dryer, and complete system evacuation/service" whenever I read it.

Keep us posted on the car!

My buddy has the same car, but was only well taken care of and a non s/c sedan he gt it w/ 200k for a grand from his brother... im not sure if being a 2-door means its worth more, as it seems a lot of these were 2-doors. But that only seems a little high for a nice unmolested version. If supercharger and A/C was working I wouldn't batted an eye at the price...

But if its the car you want and its immediately drivable than all that doesn't really matter..

Little steep, but doesn't look bad overall. Just needs some attention here and there. How are the rear strut towers?

It was raining when I bought it but today I finally got to drive it in dry conditions and it drove fine. A little stiffer than a Bonneville. Going to put the supercharger belt on this weekend and see what happens.

I did notice the brakes didn't feel like it had power brakes. Does the supercharger have anything to do with the brake booster. Not sure since the supercharger belt isn't on if that has any effect on the brakes. My bonnie stops a lot better. I can definitely tell the difference as if the brake booster isn't working but no indicator lights on at all.

Yeah the supercharger should help with the vacuum boost to tue brakes so they should be better when thats on i would think.
