Holy silver discs batman! While cleaning up the mudpen that is our yard I found the centercap sitting on top of the jeep!!!!thesam1984 wrote:Today I painted my centercaps silver and they look great against my black wheels...got to work after making an impromptu detour down a rough road, and one is gone![]()
At least it was $5 from a junkyard instead of $20 for one online
Apparently I forgot to put it back on when I took it off to off the wheel up. Good thing they gave me a license years ago lol

Pulled my Front left door panel and replaced the attachment pins and reconnected the two main door panel attachment clips which are kind of different in the way they connect. Door is snug and tight now.

I cleaned her out today and ordered new rubber floor mats off Amazon. Ones I have now are gross and the rubber is wearing away.

I restored my headlights again, and messed with the stereo some more. I also discovered my gps antenna was upside down since it kept losing signal.

Re: What did you do to your car today?
Got the silver gorilla out. 5 months and 3 days since she was put away for a nice winters nap.
I was gonna wait until we got a good rain to wash the remaining salt off the roads, but it is pretty clear just from being worn off by traffic. So that and the fact that I am tired of driving a barge daily, I broke down and got her out. Ahhhh... the feats of acceleration, handling, and braking I SOOOO missed!
Oh, and ya gotta love technology. Evidently 5 months is too long for it's security system to go without interacting with the FOB. So it disconnected it (more or less). Meaning, it wouldn't detect the FOB and allow it to unlock the car. Thankfully I had the key too. As such, no FOB detected means it won't start either as it is a push button start needing the FOB for security purposes. A quick insert of the FOB into the center console re-link slot, push the accessory, and she fired right up.

Yesterday I removed the front seats in the Saab and vacuumed and shampoo'd the carpets. The old owner..well her car wasn't her cleanest possession. Fries, change, receipts, what was once a Frosty was found. Center console walls were stained but all clean now!
And I caved and ordered some parts from GReddy......
And I may or may not be converting to dual exhaust...

Had an exhaust fitted today. Walker QuietFlow SS number two. I hope this one lasts a good deal longer than the last one!
I also changed my spark plugs and wires. The rear ones were a bit of a pain, but not as bad as I feared they might be. Made easier with a flexible-head ratchet, and the plugs came out without too much effort.

I put new fog lamps in, along with some new LED bulbs. So far they are really bright white and look good with my new projectors/halo's.

I tested out the turtle wax spray and dry. Wash car, leave wet, spray panel with wax and wipe clean with towel... turned out quite nice except for where the car dryed before I could spray it down... but very easy to use, and hid some of the scratches well

The rubber edge had detached completely from the wiper. There was plastic on glass action going on. RIP cheapo wipers. Almost three years of service.

I have just replaced my wipers with TRICOs. Works nice with the new windshield. I park under a tree and there's all kids of seeds wth stems all over. And it causes streaks like crazy. I worry they will nick my blade.
