2000 SSEI battery drain

Post by Rubidon »

If I leave my car sit for more than a few days it drains the battery, if I start it everyday it is fine. The battery is brand new. When it is running the DLC says it is putting out 14.7 volts. I checked it with a little not with a meter, I will do that today with a meter so I know the voltage drain and report it also. The light didn't go out with everything out of the fuse box under the seat!! With that being said does anyone have a picture of how all the relays go back into the fuse block? Just want to make sure they are back in the correct spots in the correct orientation! I took a picture and followed it but who knows if it was correct before I started.

There should be schematic both in the owner's manual and under the fuse box lid.

They don't show orientation for the relays. I would think they would have to be put in the right way.

The relays are designed in a way that their orientation doesn't matter.

Ok thanks guys, any idea why I would still have a current drain after everything is removed from the fuse box?

I think i have narrowed it down to the aftermarket radio. When I installed the radio, I used a GMOS 09 adapter and it started messing up on me , as in not turning on the amps, so I bypassed it by jumping the remote turn on blue wire across the box.
