What kind of door lock is this?

Post by bonnevilleCyborg »

Hello Everyone,

So my drivers side door has been acting a fool lately, one of the issues is that my drivers side lock won't turn all the way to unlock the door. So I went out and bought some locks online, only to remove the bad lock from the door and find out they had nothing in common. I was wondering what terms I should input into Google when looking for locks so I don't make the same mistake and by the wrong ones again. I've attached pictures.

Any help is greatly appreciated. The "wrong" locks I bought don't have the little arm for the lock rod, and they have some kind of bezel on the front of them. Not to mention, they are all around too fat for my door handle.

The answer is that you need to Google search for "lock cylinder".
