Not a fan of the yellow tint. Nice rally car bro!
I jest, I jest.
Also, I literally just noticed that it's a wagon. That's awesome!

Re: The New Saab
Haha in due time it'll be changed. I have to remove the bumper to remove the headlights but my plan is to open them up. Black out the chrome and instally projectors in place of the stock ones. I will remove the headlight film as soon as I can stand in my garage for more than 5 minutes without being numb! But yes it's a wagon haha thanks! I will upload some normal pics soon alsonos4blood70 wrote:Not a fan of the yellow tint. Nice rally car bro!

Personally I've always been a fan of yellow headlights. I've always wanted a low temp HID projector setup so I can have the yellow tinted light.

Re: The New Saab
I like the yellow, if it's a fog light, not a headlight. That yellow makes it look like you're using 20 year old bulbs that have seen their better day.
A 3K HID and a 3K Halogen, the HID is more vibrant and rich in color (really a true yellow). The Halogen just looks dull. I have a 3k HID in the fogs and regular Halogen 3,200k headlights on the RGC. Night and day difference.
Anyway, you're just removing the bumper cover, not the bumper itself. Many cars are like this today.

True it isn't very hard to remove the cover it's just so cold I don't have motivation to heat up the garage and work on anything

Re: The New Saab
Okay so finally got a chance to take some pictures in my garage last night once the car thawed out, it is still dirty.
Front end without tinted headlights with blacked out amber markers

Tinted red reflectors

Wow what a nice rack! haha

Dirty car

Now to the interior, it was too dark to not use flash and personally I hate flash because it changes the color of the interior but, I'll post anyways

Cargo area ft. one retrofitted headlight that isn't smashed

Passenger Seat

Driver Seat

Dinged up shifter console

Seat cupholders!

Dash shots

In the spring believe me there will be pictures inside and out of this car totally spotless but I didn't feel like cleaning it in this cold weather so this is all you get for now!

Re: The New Saab
I have always been fascinated by Saab. I especially like the Aero models and the SportCombi is one of the better looking wagons ever made.
I love the tribute to Saab done by Jeremy and James on Top Gear UK, and I think they summed it up when they said, "So, insane designs, bonkers advertising, but for every idea they had that didn't work, they always had another that was simply brilliant."
I looked long and hard at a 9-3 Aero convertible before I bought my Chrysler 200, but my Mopar loyalty won out.

Re: The New Saab
Okay so new things are coming
Today I scored some parts at the junk yard. I have Arc edition driver and passenger door trim
Also got a new fender to replace the dented one and an Aero front bumper. Just have to buy a new lip. New rims are in the works, I am shopping. Come spring a lot of remodeling will be done >:)

Re: The New Saab
Update, I apologize if there are some edited photos that are black and white and in a fancy lens, I dont have too many forum friendly photos! With that being said, I got a new bumper from an Aero 93 from the junkyard along with a new front fender. So now I'll have to find someone with a Tech II to turn the fog lights on because I'll have them now! Recently I have fixed the gas gauge and replaced the front main crankshaft seal as I had a pretty big oil leak. I also purchased a K&N panel filter.
I also scored some rare OZ Superleggera rims.. here is a teaser

Dat tire stretch <3

There was some scratching and flaws on the rims so I am sanding them down and repainting them

Dat metallic... decided to go with a graphite metallic and am going to spray clear with an HPLV spray gun

Out with the old in with the new

Car porn

As of right now I am on my sisters 18 inch 10 spoke chrome wheels with a of pitting and corrosion... I bought her new tires and rims and am using these until I sell them to a friend because they have brand new tires and my stock ones do not... sorry about the fancy shots

With spring around the corner here is a list of mods I have in store.
-Brew City Boost Stage 2 Tune
http://www.brewcityboost.com/T8_ECU_Upg ... u-tune.htm
-Vogtland 40mm lowering springs and sport struts
-Front bumper on with yellow tinted fogs
-New fender put on
-I ordered an Ultragauge OBD II vehicle monitoring system I will mount into the dash some how
-Wheel spacers to flush the wheels with the fenders
-Some type of catback or turboback exhaust with bumper cutout for exhaust tips
-Forged BOV
Stay tuned for more progress

Car is looking good man!!
What junk yard do you frequent??? I can't ever find parts in my local yards!! I've got to drive 30 min and pay to get into the u-pull just to have a shot at finding anything!!
You seem to do pretty well up there with salvaged parts, only wish I could be so lucky down here.
Again, good looking car, I've always loved wagons!

Re: The New Saab
I go to Weller self serve. And yes I have noticed I have very good luck at junk yards. I've found a few GXP's, found some Bonneville's to pull nice parts off of and my Saab. Go there with my buddies and I've found K&N intakes and intense pulleys and more. I live about 10 miles from Weller . 4 miles from a local 6 mile auto salvage. And then there is LKQ in Grand Rapids, Wayland and Holland. Weller is my favorite but I've been to all of them. I'm pretty lucky I am surrounded.

Re: The New Saab
I've only got Jackson Auto Salvage and Andy's Airport Auto... both kinda rough...
To the south about an hour is Welch's, which is great if I need anything from the 80's or 90's and then north, in Mason, is the u-pull... The only chance I've got.
Let me know if you happen across any more GXP's up there, it might be worth the drive for me. I doubt I'd see any wheels but you never know, also my console lid is crap and my steering wheel has a tear in the carbon fiber on the bottom... plus extra parts are never a bad thing...
