Bring a Bonne Backt o life (Sat for a year)

Post by SouthernBonne »

Just picked up an 89 SE after sitting for a year in someones yard. Car will not start. Replaced the fuel pump, the old one was falling apart in the tank.
It will crank and sputter like it wants to start, but nothing. Havn't pull the plugs as yet. Just removed the top and it has some white substance in the boot. Not sure if its grease.

All the fuses are good by the drivers side and behind the glove box. Checking to see if there's a check list of things I can go through to get some life in this car. I'll have most of Sunday to look it over good.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Yes, Fuel filter was replaced. Just took a look in the coolant bottle and there is a mossy growth in there. Will need a flush.

I think everything will need a flush at this point, including fuel lines.

Once you know you are getting new fuel to the injectors and fuel pressure is where it should be, I would check for spark and go from there.
