Input on a Nickname?

Post by FINN444 »

So as of this week I will have owned my Bonneville for 7 months, and the whole time I have been trying to come up with a unique name for my car. Seeing as its my first car, naming doesn't come naturally to me. :) The best I have been able to come up with so far is Darknight... I like it because you could either read it Dark Knight or Dark Night... which seeing as my car is Midnight Blue it kinda makes sense, but I don't want it to sound to much like the Batman Dark Knight... So I guess my question is do you guys/gals think this name if fitting or do you think I could do better... (and any suggestions are greatly appreciated ;) )

Thanks,
John

I've never been one to name my cars. the car or the truck seems to work. Sometimes I'll call the car the Bonnie, but seldom.

It seems like only you can give your car a name. It will come to you in time you just 5git to discover your car's identity.

As dark as it is.... and sitting there in the snow....

I'd just take a couple of words from your own signature and call it: Hockey Puck

The name's just gotta come on its own. That's how Penny got her name. Named her after Odysseus' wife in Greek mythology.

Something that will help would be to identify traits about the car that stand out to you, and start working from there.

When I got my car, many moons ago, my family suggested 'Big Red', but I wasn't fond of it. Even to this day, it's not my favorite, but I could never shake it. That was it, that was the name, whether I wanted it to be or not.

Don't rush it, it will come, just be listening for it when it does. When you find it, you will know.

Ok guys thanks for the help and thoughts... I will wait and let him/her reveal that name at some later time. I am sure I will post it in my signature and maybe a thread on here when I do figure one out! Again thanks for the help!

I picked out Guinevere because the name's meaning was white and/or smooth.

Chloe on the other hand...she just happened, Haha.

When my dad owned it, he named it "Bonnie"

Now that I own it, it's name is Clyde.
But not a bad ass clyde, just an old, rusty, worn out, old man type Clyde.

If you have family members, they will name it for you. Just listen for what they call it, don't ask them. To be honest though, cars and trucks don't need names, but some people need to have names to call them. Merry Christmas! - BC
