Hey shane what caused that much difference between the 1st and 2nd pull? And was it modded?

Mitten: realistically if you don't get valve float a small amount of time at that rpm shouldn't hurt. I don't advise it but as long as you don,t hold it at 6k you should be fine.

Running the engine at such a high RPM would also place extra wear on the timing chain.

No rev limiter?

Did they tune the car on acid? Sounds like a typical ZZP tune then...

He said he took off the rev limited but I assume it's just the raised rev limiter. I hardly drive my car like an idiot I'm a very careful driver but I occasionally get on it so I'm not red lining it and boarder line blowing it up. Honestly if the RPM's get too high I let off the gas a little for it to shift I don't want to test how high the RPM's actually go

I think you need to talk to ZZP about this. That's not how the car should behave. My limiter is raised to 6000, and I cannot force it to go past that, as it should be. These motors in stock configuration get extremely displeased with high RPM operation.

i have a intense canned tune and I'm able to get 6200 on soft blacktop launch, but in 1st only

Yeah I tested this the other day and I was wrong Carl, I get a little over 6000, like 6100 probably 6200 on the correct pavement on a slope. Still high and into the red but not 6500

Those revs are okay for stock valvetrain, but that said I wouldn't hold it there. Honestly, though there's no point in revving that high because there is no power up there. I almost liked it better when I shifted at 5700.
