power steering knock

so my power steering is knocking rather its turned or not I made sure that's what it is but now I'm not sure if I should replace the pump or if I need to start looking at something else? This is on my 94 SSEi

I 'm assuming it's the pump I took off the belt started the car no problem little bit a noise in the Pulley. I've never heard someone knock before either but when I put A rod on this one while it's running I can hear it in the bearings

2vay so I have the pump removed bought a pump without reservoir and such come to find out I have the T2v steering and can't figure out for the life of me how to get the sensor and other line fitting off of the old pump? My other option is to take this pump back and order one outand that will probably take a week or so and being that my mother's car was stolen this morning and she has my other car I really need to get this going somebody's gotta know how to get this thing out thank you
