tranny temp sensor

Post by beamer »

I'm wondering how hard it is to put a tranny temp sensor in my bonneville, The 4t60e. I've been having issues with the tranny and it only seems to do it when the ambient air temperature is above 60. I just want to monitor the tranny and see how much warmer it's getting on those days compared to the winter temps.

There's one in it, think it can be read with some scanners.

You have the 4T65. It has a built in temp sensor.

An Aeroforce Interceptor or the Torque App if you have an Android phone will be able to tell you the trans temps.

Alright thanks I'll have to give that app a shot. If that doesn't work, I was checking out the temp sensor online, it shows two wires hook up to it, if I hooked up a digital gauge in parallel with it, would it read that sensor?
