New record!

Post by haro1225 »

I went out to Milan today. It was Facebook day so it was only $12 to run. I removed literally EVERYTHING that goes behind the front seats, and the rear of the car was actually sitting higher than normal because of this. I managed a 14.1 @ 97mph, which I think is the best I am going to get with this setup. I wanted 13's but maybe next year.

That's still a pretty good time for your mods, and definitely isn't shabby for a FWD grocery getter :) Wish my car could run 14s lol, it barely breaks into the 16s hahaha (Although mine was with a full tank of gas, and 200lbs worth of tools and audio in the trunk). Next time I'll pull that out before I run, and hopefully can get closer to low 16s or 15s. That was also before my mods.

You might be able to shave just a little bit of time off if you can get that 60' down. In any case, being an 04+ GTP, with just a 3.4 these are not bad times at all.

Nice job Ryan!

Nice run. I'll be out there on the 10th next month for the Livernois Motorsports customer appreciation day. I'm hoping with cool temps to get close to 12.5. My best so far is 12.75 when it was about 80 outside.

I think if I had more sticky tires I could have been faster. Next time I may borrow my friend's wheels and tires off his Evo just to make a couple passes. My friend got a video with his phone (I apologize for the terrible quality) and you can kind of see how I eased into it to keep the tires from spinning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVae4q- ... e=youtu.be My pass happens around 2:25.

And also there was a photographer taking pictures of all the cars that were running and got a pretty sweet shot of mine.

Here's the full gallery, the blue Honda and the silver SRT-4 with the slicks are my friends that were also running. The Honda managed a 14.4 and the SRT put down a 12.5.

Should figure I broke my axle before I'd get to run this year. Nice run though.

Yeah, I really wanted to see the beast make a pass. There is still time to run the Lesabre though! :poke:
