New Mod: Stainless Steel Brake Lines and F-Body Calipers

I worked with ZZP to get stainless braided brakes lines made for the 00+ H-bodies.

The front lines fit great...no extra slack, no binding or tightness. The rears fit perfect.

When installing the front lines, you have to reuse the front stock bracket to hold the brakeline away from the tire/wheel. I pryed the bracket open with a screwdriver/prybar. I used a piece 2" piece of 1/4" I.D. fuel hose, sliced down the center to cover the new line. I sprayed some WD-40 to slide the black hose into position in the bracket. Once it's in the bracket, the friction between the black hose and the clear covering on the brakeline prevent it from moving.

The rear lines are a straight-forward swap.

The caliper kit includes everything you need to mount up the calipers. No need to drill and tap the brackets. They bolt right up.

I also did a complete brake system flush and replaced it with fresh brake fluid.

The braking feels MUCH more confident, especially at quick highway stops. The only problem with the rotors is that they are noisy (the noise is supposed to subside afterwhile..but it's still there after 1000 miles.) If were to do it again, I would of just gotten slotted or plain rotors.

What kind of noise? Squealing or grinding?

They look great but the proof is in the stopping power.

On the install paper, they mention an "airplane propeller" sound. Apparently, it's caused by the air turbulence around the dimples. It's gotten better...but it's still there.

weird i have d/s and have 0 noise...guess it depends on the hole size and where they cut?
