Sorry, forgot to update.
Ended up getting it running. After a new battery, plugs, wires, and 2 coils, it ended up being the ICM.
Got it fixed and then sold it within a week.
Hated to see it go, but it was time. It was going to need more money than I had for the PA annual inspection. The inspection itself runs about $50 and I knew it would need at least 2 tires. I just don't have it.
Plus, we needed to come up with about $650 for my daughter's tuition. Her education has to come first. My wife listed it on some online yardsale thing (varagesale) and that same night someone expressed interest. We had it listed for $1250.
They came the next day to look at it. A young couple with a young daughter, husband had lost his job a while ago, car got reop'ed, going through bankruptcy....he got a new job and they had been borrowing her dad's conversion van to get back and forth to work and such....long story short, we agreed to take $700.
The next morning I let them take it to a mechanic to get looked over. He said "where did you find this thing?" he couldn't believe how good of shape it was for a 16 year old car in this part of the country. We met at the notary that night and the wife couldn't wait to drive it home
We still have my wife's/family car, the 05 Equinox. And we have been hugely blessed by a family at our church letting me borrow one of their vehilces. My daily driver is currently an 06 Roadmaster with the 350. That thing is AWESOME. I may jsut end up making him an offer come tax time
Here are a few pics of the car the last night.
This was on the way to the notary
The LAST pic. Just before we went in to sign the paperwork
