94 SSEi Starter

Wife told me yesterday that the Goose wouldn't start.

I tried starting it. The battery is fine. It sounds like it's cranking with a funny sound I've never heard but the engine is not turning over?? WTF

I am in the middle of removing the starter for inspection.

Napa said there are two starters listed. One for early and one for late production 94's.
Can anyone confirm that?

Now I just have to figure out how to remove the starter. It is unbolted and free but there is not enough space to remove it. I suppose all the tubing has to be moved.....

Paul all the tubing does not need to be moved just a couple of the heat shield and dust shield and you should be able to work it out

It seems like a different car from the other 94 SSEi I had. I changed the starter twice on that one and they came out the bottom easy. This one I had to remove the fan and remove it from the top!
