In need of an L67 build - nearest shops?

Post by Boosted_GR33K »

Okay, my Bonneville has been sitting at a 'friends' shop since early november. He told me he'd get on it right away. I ordered all the parts, and gave him 700 to get started. The parts sat, and sat, as did the car. He tells me 2 weeks ago that he doesnt want to rebuild the motor in it, and tells me to source a lower mileage running engine. So, another 600 later for a 129k motor last week, and today he says he doesnt want to mess with V6 stuff anymore. >__>

Anyone know of a 3800 S/C builder/rebuilder near 46516? Let me know... I want to drive my SSEI again... :( -Ben

Editorial:

Geez, I hope you get your money back, or at the very least, the parts that it bought! What kind of friend is that, anyway? If the car was stuck outside over the winter, I'd be pretty steamed. 7 months worth of baloney is a chunk to deal with....

(end of opinion section)

Wish I had some contact in the Elkhart area that I thought could be of help.

I'd be interesting in working on something like this. If you guys wanted to get together, working on different components, shipping them down the line for final assembly that would be cool.
