Before and after of the wheels I just picked up..

Post by tpulliam79 »

I picked up a set of wheels and tires for $200..The pictures don't really show the centimeter + of baked on brake dust. I don't think they were EVER washed. First pics are after a power washer

I like those wheels. They are among GM's lightest 16" alloys.

And, they are the actual "Torque Stars". At some point someone applied GM's name for them to the 5 spokers that showed up on Bonnies in the mid ninties and it stuck.

What's funny is they had just the tires advertised and I was going to just buy them but they decided since there was so much brake dust they didn't think they could be saved and said I can have the wheels also. I like the white ones that are on it now but for the price I could not pass up and now I can throw a set of studs for winter time on my other wheels.

Hmm, I have been on the hunt for a set of traditional Torque Stars for my car, but upon seeing this transition, now I wonder if I should gravitate towards these! Looks great.
