I am not a guru on electrics...
Seems to me that if the lights work manually, it is not a relay issue. Might be the switch, or it might be the sensor, or a connection to one of them.
I have a '93 Service Manual, will see if there is any specific advice there when I get a few minutes.

are you sure the DRL plug is plugged in still on, in engine bay under computer on driver side fender?
