Will, Im considering bringing the Cutlass this year, but I have a major coolant leak that I have yet to identify the source. Right now, I have to stop every 30 miles to refill with coolant. It'd take me forever to get there at that rate. If I can get that fixed and figure out why my service light is on and get that fixed, I might feel more comfortable driving it that distance. I dont want to get into BFE Michigan and be stuck.

Right now, it hinges on what I find with the coolant leak. If the weather would stop being moody and actually stay warm, I could crawl under the car and figure it out now. I'll keep y'all posted as we get closer.

Will, Im worried for the trip there. Push comes to shove and I'll hitch a ride back with Greg. Need to invest in a trailer...and a truck, for that matter. Greg and I were JUST talking about this over the weekend.

Still plenty of time to figure it out before then. There's only a few places coolant can go really.

Thats what Im thinking. My suspicion right now is that I remember seeing some kind of tubing running near the starter that didnt appear to go anywhere. I havent traced it out yet, but the pool of coolant that is leaking when the car sits is just under the drivers side door, closer to the fender, so my thought is that might have something to do with it. Of course, until I get under there and look for sure, Im just speculating.

Coolant can run many different places when leaking, best bet would be to clean the engine bay rearlly nice then let it dry, fire it up and let the coolant leak and trace it back to where it originates.

As soon as the weather clears a bit more (above 45), I'll head out and see if I can find out where its leaking. Once I know that, I can make a better commitment to the presence of a 2nd G Body. Although, Ryan, Greg informs me your Cutlass is having a tranny issue?

Yes, we had to get a trailer at the last meet. I should say from now on, at least one trailer should be on hand at every meet. Never know when someone's gonna break something!

Yea, my Cutlass is having issues right now. Still runs and drives but can't really get on it because the trans don't like to shift and also having a severe high RPM missfire / stumble. Honestly not even sure I will plate and insure it this year with the big pay cut I took back in October and no overtime happening any time soon. At least it looks good sitting in my yard
