[img]I recently replaced both front struts and went with the KYB's. I bought Duralast brand strut mounts. It has been 4 weeks and both of them have been replaced with the upgraded KYB mounts. I will try to post pictures but the center of the mount just rips out of the mount and the strut shaft sticks out about 4 inches. It almost contacts the hood.

Kind of sounds like you may be missing the cupped washers that go on top of the strut shaft shoulder and under the strut mount.
If the washers are in place they will not allow the strut shaft to pop up that far and any mount will fail without them.
