hard shift
Around 30 mph it hard shifts no matter what load it's under. Whether I'm accelerating or braking. The fluids are good and I recently put in lucas oil auto tranny fluid conditioner. Any ideas? Also when park the car rocks back and forth

Check the common issues thread at the top of this section of the forum. Under Transmission - the top 2 issues are the likely suspects. The first one, being the front transmission mount is more likely, from your description.

I'll have that checked out thanks. But now another problem formed...driving up a hill it chugs, rpms drop and the service light blinks...but only happens going up a hill

Re: hard shift
Sounds like a misfire. How old are the plugs and wires? Are you running premium fuel?

Re: hard shift
the coils and the wires look almost new, but they may have cleaned them. i plan to replace them but of course no $. and ive ran premium fuel with no ethanol ever since i bought it.could it possibly be the torque converter?

Re: hard shift
That chugging is most definitely ignition system related. Check the plug on 3, then the wire and finally the coil.

Re: hard shift
Update: it was the coils. Changed the plugs. And most of them were shot.. I had no central electrodes left
