here is the issue, when i turn the steering wheel all the way and am actually moving(i.e.- parallel parking or just making a right turn) i hear a faint pop or click sound. Now some background info on work that has been done:
Both lower control arms were done less than year ago
Struts and strut mounts and everything in between(except springs) were replaced less than a year ago.. same times as the control arms. This is where it gets funky. I had to replace the mounts again because they needed replacement after six months. did both sides. Bought napa ones. When replacing the left strut mount the small circular nuts on the inside...one of them tore off and wouldnt tighten.. so i took it out and replaced it with a regular night...and everything is nice and tight..(i doubt this is the cause thought, but might as well let everything be known)
This clunk happened after i replaced the strut mounts the second time. at first i thought it was the spring getting settled, but it is still going on.
I went to the shop today for an inspection and he says the left ball joint is bad. My question is, does this seem right. The ball joint itself looks sold. it is not torn or leaking grease. He said there is very little play, but some play.
Just wanted some second opinions and see if maybe anyone had any input.
Also been experiencing vibration at high way speed and a consistent hum at high way speeds...(doesnt get louder as i speed up)
As always. thanks for any and all help!
Popping when turning right... sometimes
Re: Popping when turning right... sometimes
Cv axles may be the cause, they pop while turning and ususlly only turning, when going straight they dont.

Re: Popping when turning right... sometimes
dont think its a a cv axle. They look fine and it doesnt sound the same as when my right cv went bad. The weird thing is that is one pop/ click noise and then nothing,.

Re: Popping when turning right... sometimes
My right turn only, Pop/Click noise was the left CV axle assy.
Boot cracked open, grease spewed out, and all caused by failed, collapsed motor/tranny mounts.
4 new mounts and both CV axle assys replaced; no more problems.
edit: typo
