Just the nature of using a production engine for non-production intended uses. There's more than one way to skin a cat, this is just the easiest way...

Hey just a quick question, were any of you able to cam you car while leaving the engine in car? I've been looking into a cam right now since im top swapping as well and just wanted to know

I'm not convinced that the OEM 11-link LG3 chain isn't up to the task of running on 150# valve springs.

It's almost 2x's as wide as the L67 8-link chain. The pins are 2x's the diameter of the 11 link chain.

The OR pushrods are also nice to help keep the oil in the places it really needs to be. Like the crank bearings.

So I've been thinking about this, I'm going to try to make a cam adapter for the LG3 set. If that works out then there are several good set of double rollers for the RWD version in the $60-$80 range.

LG2/LG3/LD5 are meant to fit a cam with a distributor gear even though the LG3 did not get a distributor. The center hole in the cam sprocket is very large, they have a different cam sensor magnet and don't have a balance shaft. The OEM chains for them are 11 links, the pins are 2x's the diameter and about 5/8" wide or so. From what I can tell the 11-link chain was good up to the 130# valves and the crank gear doesn't need to be machined on the roller sets. Center to center from crank to cam is the same between them, which when I had them side by side looks like has not changed in the L67.
